Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
