The anticipation about The Game Awards reached a fever pitch, especially after host Geoff Keighley shared a puzzling photo of a strange statue. The question has been revealed. The acclaimed developer is working on a brand-new Divinity game.
Announced as Divinity, the game was debuted with a bold trailer that included striking imagery, from a figure engulfed in flames to an orgy and the literal opening of infernal gates.
A Different Direction
Anyone hoping for Divinity Original Sin 3, this is not that. Larian stated ahead of time that a follow-up to its beloved RPGs is not currently in development.
However, the developer referred to this new Divinity as a next chapter of the core franchise. This choice of words implies that the team could be designing a real-time experience instead of another tactical title. For now, it remains theory, as only a teaser video is available.
